UPDATE: Sidley Allotments | 30/06/2026: Thank you for your patience while work was undertaken to clear the fallen tree from Sidley Allotments and make the area safe to use again.
As the tree itself stood on private property, the Council will be investigating ultimate ownership of the footway via HM Land Registry and, if possible, liaising with the landowner regarding next steps. We will keep you informed on the situation as it progresses.
⚠️ UPDATE: Sidley Allotments | Bexhill-on-Sea Town Council is aware of a tree that has fallen from a private footway onto an area of land at Sidley Allotments. Our Operations team has the situation in hand and hopes to resolve this problem as swiftly as possible. For their own safety, we ask that residents keep clear of the affected area until the work is complete.
